At KITA, luxury isn’t manufactured—it’s crafted.

Every candle, every perfume, every diffuser is made in small batches in our Cape Town studio. No assembly lines. No shortcuts. Just careful, deliberate work that honors the process as much as the result.

How we make our candles

We’ve spent years perfecting our proprietary soy wax blend—testing, adjusting, refining until we achieved the balance we wanted: clean burn, even melt, true scent throw.

Each candle is poured by hand. The wick is centered by hand. The fragrance is added at the precise temperature that allows it to bind properly with the wax.

Then we wait.

Every candle cures for 24 hours before it’s moved. Then it sits for another 14 days before we consider it ready. This isn’t inefficiency—it’s integrity. The cure time allows the fragrance to fully develop, so what reaches you is exactly what we intended.

How we blend our perfumes

Our perfumes are formulated in small batches using premium fragrance oils sourced from Grasse, France—the perfume capital of the world.

Each blend is measured, tested, and adjusted until the composition feels right. We don’t rush the process. A single fragrance can go through multiple iterations before we’re satisfied with the balance, the projection, the way it settles on skin.

For our seasonal and limited-edition ranges, we work with locally sourced South African essential oils—celebrating the botanicals of our region while supporting local suppliers.

Currently, our perfume collection features inspired-by fragrances—high-quality interpretations of beloved classics. In 2026, we’re launching our first original KITA perfume collection, designed in-house and available nowhere else.

How we create home fragrances

Our reed diffusers and room mists are blended with the same attention we give our candles and perfumes.

Each diffuser is hand-filled. Each mist is formulated to deliver scent without overwhelming a space. We test fragrance longevity, scent throw, and how each blend interacts with different environments before it ever reaches you.

The goal is always the same: a product that performs beautifully and feels intentional in your home.

Why it matters

There’s a difference between a product that’s made and one that’s crafted. The difference is time. Attention. A willingness to do things the slow way because it’s the right way.
